Old Farmhouse
Situated in the leafy South Derbyshire village of Weston upon Trent is the Old Farmhouse.
This picturesque grade 2 listed building dates back to mid-17th century and has recently undergone a full sympathetic restoration which includes the addition of a pure all glass extension.
When we were contacted by the owners direct, they had a very clear vision of what they wanted to achieve but weren’t so sure if it was either possible or indeed whether they would receive listed building consent. Fortunately, Artisan Glass have worked on many listed buildings and we have in-depth knowledge of the details that are found acceptable by the authorities so we were able to present them with a design proposal that we were confident would receive a positive response and indeed full approval for the glass extension was granted soon thereafter.

The glass structure forms part of a larger kitchen extension and features low iron glass fins and rafters complete with high performance double glazed units creating a light and vibrant space. The structure is compliment by a pair of our unique soft closing frameless pivoting doors with stainless steel locking handles.
