When Nigel Keen, Principal Architect with Digby Rowsell Associates contacted us they had already gained planning permission and listed building consent for a frameless glass extension for their clients 17th Century Grade II listed building.
They were looking for an experienced specialist supplier to turn their plans into reality.
Upon receipt of the planning drawings, our design team transformed the 2D layouts into a 3D model which we presented to the client giving them a virtual reality style 360° view of the proposed structure. They were delighted with the presentation and our competitive quote for the works and soon thereafter we were commissioned to design, supply and install the glass extension.
The design features our unique frameless pivoting doors and the structure is constructed entirely from frameless double glazed units supported by triple laminated glass beams. Low emissivity glass and argon filled cavities are used throughout providing a well insulated and comfortable environment all year round.
