Lemmington Branch
Lemmington Branch an imposing Grade II listed building dating from the late 18th Century.
Lemmington Branch is an impossing Grade II listed building dating from the late 18th Century and is situated just west of Alnwick in Northumberland with spectacular views across to the Cheviots.
It has recently undergone a complete renovation under the careful guidance of Newcastle architects, ID Partnership. The external focal part of the project was the creation of a 15-meter long frameless glass link which joins the grand entrance hall with the library and living accommodation.

Being a listed building the design was subject to extremely close scrutiny and every detail right down to the last screw and fixing had to be submitted and approved by both Northumberland Planning Authority and English Heritage.

The link was designed and constructed entirely from frameless double glazed structural glass, supported by triple laminated glass beams and features our in house designed pivoting doors complete with full height stainless steel locking handles. Low emissivity glass and argon filled units provide a well-insulated and comfortable space.
