Icomb Lodge
Occupying a central position in the tranquil Gloucestershire Cotswolds hamlet of Icomb is Icomb Lodge.
This magnificent grade 2 listed building dates back to the late 17th century and has recently been renovated to the highest possible standards. A focal part of the restoration was the creation of a frameless glass extension within the existing courtyard.
The remodelling was overseen by local Architect Jeremy Dunn of Stable Architecture who has an exceptional knowledge of historical buildings and he called upon Artisan Glass to assist with the creation of the all-glass courtyard enclosure. Thanks to our own vast experience with listed properties we were able to develop a full set of details that satisfied the criteria of Historic England and the project received full planning approval.

The glass structure brings natural light to a previously shadowed courtyard and features low iron glass fins and rafters complete with high performance double glazed units creating a light and vibrant space. The structure is accessed via one of our unique soft closing frameless pivoting doors with stainless steel locking handles. The project demanded high levels of insulation and as can be seen from the wintry images, the glass has kept the heat in rather well.
