Broughton HallHidden within the Cheshire countryside near the sleepy village of Threapwood is Broughton Hall.
Originally built in 1642, this magnificent grade 2 listed building has recently undergone a full, contemporary modernisation and has been significantly extended by the current owners.
The new single story extension has been constructed as 2 independent wings, one side housing expansive entertaining spaces including a piano lounge, billiard room and bar and a large indoor swimming pool and spa to the other, joined centrally by a large frameless glass link and atrium.
The south-facing aspect of the glass structure allows natural light to flood the open plan rooms of the new extensions and creates a perfectly framed passageway through to the courtyard of the historic hall behind. The link is constructed from high-performance solar control units supported upon low iron glass beams creating a light and vibrant space. At the courtyard end of the link, there are a pair of our unique, soft-closing frameless pivoting doors and at the other, an enormous solid pivoting door supplied by our client.
